Aileen bought Rangehill Rainbows End (Jimmy) in 2002. With his previous owner, Debbie Cooper, he had won championships in ridden mountain and moorland and working hunter classes. In 2003 Aileen drove him in private driving classes but his action and outline looked better suited to light trade classes. In 2004, with Sally Barlow driving him at the shows in her father’s milk float, he never looked back. He won the Light Trade Championship at the New Forest and at Newbury where he was also Reserve Champion of Champions (to a coaching team). In 2005 he won his Light Trade Class at the BDS Championships at Smiths Lawn, was Supreme Harness Champion at the New Forest Show and National Light Trade Champion at Burghley. Aileen retired Jimmy from driving and rode him regularly until he was taken ill in 2010 and in the end, reluctantly, we had to put him down.
